Rates:
SHORT RIDE OR LONG RIDE? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? Our SHORT RIDES are designed for any rider wanting to enjoy a leisurely and scenic ride with friends or family. These are guided rides, with walking and trotting, suitable for all riders age 6 and older. These rides offer horse enthusiasts the opportunity to indulge in their passions for horses and nature by meandering through open fields and wooded acres within the boundaries of the beautiful Canaan Valley Resort State Park. LONG RIDES are for the more adventurous type and not for very young children. They are available from May 1 to November 1, weather permitting. The longer rides are not available if ground conditions are too wet.
Short Rides
1 HOUR TRAIL RIDE $$27.50
1-1/2 HOUR TRAIL RIDE $37.50
2 HOUR TRAIL RIDE $47.50
Reservations are strongly suggested... but, most of the time, if you call today, you can ride today!
Long Rides
HALF DAY RIDE
A thrilling treat for intermediate riders over age 10. Explore the Canaan Valley area on horseback for approximately 4 hours. This ride takes you through a variety of scenic areas, allowing you an opportunity to really enjoy the valley. Advance reservations required. $77.50 (*for an additional fee of $8.00, riders may make arrangements for a picnic style lunch)


ALL DAY RIDE
For intermediate or advanced riders over age 12 seeking a longer adventure. Saddle up for a 7-hour equestrian riding experience which takes you over miles of scenic mountain country - taking time to rest the horses and eat lunch along the way. Advance reservations required. $150.00 (price includes picnic style lunch, snacks and drinks)
DISCOUNTS Group discounts for Church Groups and Civic Organizations - 10% - (minimum of 15 people riding and the bill paid by one person).
15% Military Discounts Anytime - (Must show ID, and military discount cannot be combined with any other discounts or specials)

All riders must sign a waiver. You may save time by downloading our waiver, (PDF format or RTF) filling it out and signing it and bringing it with you.

HOURS

Hours:
May 1 through October 31 - open daily
November 1 through April 30 - 24 hours notice
Trail Rides begin at 10:00 a.m.during the summer months and 10:30 a.m. Spring & Fall.
The last ride of the day leaves at 4:00 p.m., unless prior arrangements for later ride are made
Extended Hours from mid-June through August, as necessary
Riders should call ahead for winter hours!
